How many GB do I pick? Enter the storage size of the server you want backed up — so the SSD size of your plan, including any storage upgrades. A Standard plan with 20 GB SSD means you pick 20 GB here.

Yes. The free tier lives on hostmybot.net and is granted per project after approval through a Discord ticket. These paid plans are for projects that need more resources or want guaranteed capacity.
Yes. CPU, RAM, storage, database and backup upgrades stack on top of whichever plan you pick, and you can add or remove them later.
100% equals one full vCPU core. So 200% is two cores, 300% is three, and 25% is a quarter of a core.
Both are stored offsite, away from your node — the difference is how they are made. Panel backup slots decide how many backups you can keep in the panel and when you make them. Offsite backups run automatically on a schedule you pick, from twice a day up to every hour, with 31 days of retention, and are billed per GB of backup storage per month.
